Working with Shari and the Moxie Foundation has truly been a blessing. Shari was one of the first people to believe in me and give me real opportunities that helped launch my journey in videography. I first met her through the Waimea Town Celebration on Kaua‘i, where she and Kana trusted me to film the concert event. Even though I had zero experience shooting concerts at the time, she still gave me a chance—and that opportunity changed everything.
Through her nonprofit, the Moxie Foundation, Shari also invited me to shoot for the Herbie Gives Golf Tournament on Kaua‘i. From there, doors kept opening. I went on to film full concert events including Waimea Town Celebration, Spring Break Bash, The Green Summertime Tour, and Rock the Block. I also got to do some work at Mai Tais for The Issentials and Small Axe & Kapu System, and have since worked directly with artists like Johnny Suite and Kanaka Fyah.
Working with Shari is always a breeze—and a lot of fun! She’s straightforward, honest, and easy to work with. Communication is always clear, and she follows through on her word every single time. Shari is the kind of person who will help you reach your goals, as long as you’re willing to put in the work.
Whenever I collaborate with others, I hold Shari as one of my standards for the kind of people I want to work alongside. I’m truly grateful for all the opportunities and support she’s given me throughout my journey.
